Austco Communication Systems Pty Ltd is proud to announce its recent partnership agreement with Vodoke to exclusively sell its IPTV Healthcare solutions throughout Australia and New Zealand. Austco’s IP Nurse Call solution Tacera will be integrated onto the Vodoke Patient Information Platform allowing Patients and Nurses to perform Nurse Call tasks and trigger alerts through a wireless TV remote which then updates the Austco Nurse Call system across the Hospital in real-time. This helps lower costs as multiple tasks can happen from one control which is easy to use, increasing patient satisfaction.
In September 2013 Austco and Vodoke combined their solutions for the Jurong Health project in Singapore using Austco’s IP Multifunction Entertainment Handset with Vodoke’s Patient Information system winning a deal worth SG$2.3M to Austco for the solution.
“The real advantage for a Healthcare facility of adapting new technology within their environment is when the chosen technology can seamlessly integrate and talk to other communication platforms. This enables one connected health system increasing workflow efficiencies and it then becomes easier to identify where further improvements can be made within the facility to keep improving patient satisfaction. Healthcare personnel can then get on with their daily tasks with the peace of mind that they will receive the alerts on the system when they are needed most” commented Robert Grey, CEO.
Michael Toh, Vodoke’s Chief Executive Officer commented “We are delighted to be partnered with Austco as the company has over 27 years’ experience in the Healthcare market and over 8000 sites using its solutions and can only be good to learn from them through their vast experience in this market. Our smart IPTV platform is a good fit for partnership integration with the Austco Nurse Call solution Tacera and we are excited about releasing the blue pendent remote control we are designing with nurse call functionality and inbuilt antibacterial additive for improved infection control.”
